Terms of Service

Last updated 6 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and gradai. Using the service means you accept them. They are written to be read, so if something here is unclear, ask us rather than guessing.

Who can use gradai

You need to be at least 16 and able to enter a contract. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" then means the company as well.

Your account

  • Give a real name and a working email address. Verified email is how we reset passwords and reach you about your account.
  • Keep your credentials to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • One person, one account. Do not share a login across a hiring team; add colleagues to the organisation instead.
  • Tell us at gradai.connect@gmail.com if you think someone else has access.

What you can do here

As a candidate you can build resumes, publish a portfolio at a gradai address, and apply to roles posted on the platform. As a recruiter you can post roles, build the form candidates fill in, and read the applications and scores that come back.

Your content stays yours

You keep every right you already had in what you write and upload. To run the service we need permission to store it, display it back to you, render it into a PDF or a web page, and publish it when you choose to publish. That permission is limited to operating gradai, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your resumes, portfolios, or applications to train machine learning models.

What our scoring is

gradai reads applications against the job description and scorecard the recruiter sets, then returns a score with its reasoning. It is a ranking aid. It is not a hiring decision, it is not an assessment of anyone's worth, and it can be wrong.

If you hire through gradai, the decision is yours and so is the responsibility for it. Read the reasoning, not only the number, and do not use the score as the sole basis for rejecting anyone. You are responsible for complying with the employment and equal opportunity law that applies to you.

Text our writing features produce is a draft. Check it before you send it. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything in your resume, including anything we helped you write.

If you are a recruiter

  • Post real roles. Do not use application forms to collect data you do not need for hiring.
  • Ask lawful questions. Do not add questions that are prohibited where you hire.
  • Applications sent to you are yours to handle, and your own privacy obligations apply to them from the moment you receive them.
  • Do not pass an application to anyone outside the hiring process for that role.

What you may not do

  • Claim qualifications, employers, or credentials you do not have.
  • Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to share.
  • Impersonate another person or company.
  • Scrape the site, or collect candidate or recruiter data in bulk.
  • Break, overload, or probe the service, or work around its limits.
  • Publish a portfolio or job post that is spam, harassment, or a front for something other than what it claims to be.

We can suspend or remove an account that does any of this, and we will say why unless telling you would get in the way of an investigation.

Availability and changes

We work to keep gradai running but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features change, and some go away. If we retire something you depend on, we will give notice by email where we reasonably can.

gradai is free to use today. If we introduce paid plans we will say so clearly, and we will not start charging for something you are already using without telling you first.

Ending it

You can stop using gradai and delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or that has been dormant for a long period, after telling you. When an account closes, its published pages come down. Applications already delivered to a recruiter stay with that recruiter.

Liability

gradai is provided as it is. We do not promise you will get a job, get an interview, or hire anyone. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost profits, or indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top and, for a change that matters, tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use gradai after that means you accept the new version.
